cutup poem #1

in the garden of the forum
listen to my feet
it is important to keep the sea lanes open
within arms length of his obese ungraceful form

a capability to rapidly improve our ability
but not the little ignorant girl
capable on the second day of the war
beyond the borders of the starry spheres

almost eliminated in the last few years
the artist achieves on his forgotten canvas
the frantic crew wound one arm around the girls waist
interested in spite of himself at the enthusiasm

my calm feet the mingled streams
beyond the sky where this eye sees a splendid throne
picking pears in a thermonuclear war
if deterrence should fail

- baudelaire, herman kahn, the gladiators by g j whyte-melville
