cutup poem #2
take marcus crassus for example
attacks were continuing
they listen, sadly, like a murmuring stream
they are there now
from the arctic circle to the equator
enlisted without waiting to be called up
regular pay and the age old pension
the future could not take priority
not before i've done my military service
a group of workmen is coming
the earliest impulses of my heart inclined
here we have the classic calculation
and the enemy was making progress
i used to wear a sailor suit
his eye turned to his ardent toadies
hurrying under your spectacles
