on february 28, 1993, agents of the bureau of alcohol tobacco and firearms attempted unsuccessfully to storm the waco texas living quarters of some members of the branch davidians, a small christian religious group. four agents and six members of the group were killed in a gun battle.
on march 13, johnny wilson suggested to his wife sally that they adopt a child. sally was planning to leave johnny and move in with hank browning, and she said, “sure, that sounds like a great idea.”
on april 19, the fbi launched a tear gas attack on the branch davidian compound in waco. a fire broke out in which 76 members of the branch davidians were killed, and 9 survived.
on august 14, joe wilson was drinking a cup of coffee by himself at a burger king in abilene kansas when a man sat down at his table, introduced himself as burt abercrombie and told joe that joe’s preaching had brought him, burt, to the lord and turned his life around. joe bought burt a cup of coffee and they had a friendly conversation.
